Gunmen abducted at least 15 people, including a doctor and nurses, as they traveled to a refugee camp in southern Afghanistan on Thursday, officials said. Aga Jan Nazari, provincial director of the refugee department, said 15 people were kidnapped in Kandahar province. Dr. Abdullah Fahim, spokesman for the Public Health Ministry, put the number at 20 and said they included a doctor and five nurses who were on their way to the Zadi refugee camp in the province’s Zhela district.
