A blast occurred on Monday afternoon in Istanbul’s historic Sultanahmet quarter, injuring three Turkish people, one of whom was a child. Another of the injured – a 45-year-old woman – who is said to be in a serious condition, underwent surgery at an Istanbul hospital. The three injured, include the 45-year-old female Istanbul resident, her female relative and her grandchild – both from the eastern Turkish province of Elazig – who were on holiday in Istanbul.
