Taliban rebels attacked a police post in southern Afghanistan, sparking a fierce firefight that left 11 militants and one policeman dead, a provincial official said. Another three insurgents were arrested after the two-hour gunbattle in the Kajaki district of volatile Helmand province, deputy provincial governor Mullah Amir Akhundzada said on Wednesday. “At around noon (0730 GMT) the Taliban fled the area leaving 11 bodies behind.
