Cuba’s Communist daily released new photographs of ailing leader Fidel Castro on Monday, showing him in bed during a visit with his brother Raul and Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez on his 80th birthday. The official Granma newspaper published six pictures of Sunday’s visit on its online edition, a day after the Communist Youth newspaper Juventud Rebelde published the first images of Castro seen since it was announced two weeks ago that he was undergoing intestinal surgery and temporarily ceding power to Raul.
