Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki said his talks in Britain would focus on ending violence in Iraq and enabling foreign troops to leave Iraq, something he insisted would not take years. Speaking on BBC Radio before meeting British Prime Minister Tony Blair later Monday, Maliki added that his government was grappling with both a sectarian conflict and violent crime, but that Iraq would not descend into civil war.
