Indian troops have shot dead five Muslim rebels in raids on two hideouts in a southern village in revolt-hit Indian Kashmir on Friday, the army said. “The five were killed when army soldiers, backed by counter-insurgency police, raided militant hideouts in two villages in (southern) Pulwama and Kulgam districts,” army spokesman Vijay Batra told AFP on Friday.
