US Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld has reiterated Washington’s support for Afghanistan’s fight against the Taliban but said there must be more cooperation from its neighbours to stop “cross-border violence”. Rumsfeld was in the capital for talks with President Hamid Karzai on efforts to stop the insurgency launched after the extremist Taliban were driven from power in late 2001 by a US-led coalition.
