Afghan President Hamid Karzai has called for more international support to bolster his nation’s police force in an effort to curb a recent upsurge in violence. “I’m concerned about the rise in violence in Afghanistan,” Karzai told reporters in Tokyo Friday. “We should be looking at two problem areas as reasons for the rise of violence in Afghanistan.
