A group of editors at Egypt’s main independent newspapers will stage a one-day strike Sunday to protest a lack of media reforms, the independent daily Al-Masry Al-Youm has reported. The editors of seven independent and opposition newspapers will not publish their Sunday edition — or weekly edition for the weekly papers — to protest the “horrific picture” of the free press in Egypt.
