Romania’s top defense body met in an urgent session Friday to discuss whether to withdraw the country’s 890 troops from Iraq, a day after the prime minister said he wanted to pull them out for security and financial reasons. Premier Calin Popescu Tariceanu ordered the defense minister, Teodor Atanasiu, on Thursday to propose the withdrawal to the National Defense Council, which must make the decision. Full Story
