John Reid, the Home Secretary, is to meet survivors of the July 7 bombings as a spate of new allegations increases pressure for an independent investigation into intelligence failures. The latest claims, published in The Sunday Times, suggest that investigators found a police-style tracking device in a car belonging to Mohammad Sidique Khan after he led the London bombings which killed 52 people.
