Japan has told the United States it is prepared to freeze Iranian bank accounts as part of a US-led plan to impose sanctions on Iran over its nuclear programme, a newspaper reports. The Financial Times said officials had told the paper that Japan would support the sanctions if Iran did not suspend uranium enrichment and accept a package of incentives from the international community.
