The US has not ruled out trying to shoot down North Korea’s new long-range ballistic missile if the unpredictable communist regime attempts a test launch, Washington’s ambassador to Japan, said on Wednesday. Asked whether Washington was prepared to deploy anti-missile technology against a test missile launched by Pyongyang, ambassador Thomas Schieffer said: “We have greater technical measures of tracking than in the past and we have options that we have not had in the past.
