Indonesian suspect arrested over Thai bombings

Thai police arrested an Indonesian suspect after a wave of bomb attacks that killed two people and wounded more than 30 in the insurgency hit and mainly Muslim south. The 37-year-old man was arrested in Narathiwat province near the Malaysian border with 10 kilograms of fertiliser that can be used to make crude explosives, and a quantity of nails and spikes, police said. The man from Sumatra island was being held under emergency laws for posing a security threat, Colonel Manoch Ananrithikul, police commander of Ra Ngae district, told AFP.
