A grenade blast wounded eight people in a market in a rural Philippines province Sunday, while a nearly simultaneous explosion damaged a mobile police station in the capital, police said. The grenade, concealed in a bag, went off beside a parked jeep outside the market in Lipa city in Batangas province, 60 miles south of Manila, police officer Gemma Silva said. At least eight passers-by were wounded. Communist guerillas are active in Batangas, but there was no indication they were involved, Silva said. Full Story
