Nagaland separatists have agreed to hold regular monthly peace talks with the Indian government starting June 22 in Amsterdam to try to strike a peace deal, a rebel leader said. The National Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN-IM), led by self-exiled guerrilla leaders Isak Chishi Swu and Thuingaleng Muivah, has struggled for nearly six decades to create a “Greater Nagaland” to expand the mountainous Nagaland state in India’s remote northeast.
