A bomb struck a group of construction workers seeking jobs in central Baghdad on Thursday, killing at least two and wounding 18 amid an increasingly random cycle of violence in Iraq. The explosives were hidden in a plastic bag on Tayaran Square as the men were gathered near a stall selling breakfast food. The square, which is in a dangerous area less than a mile from the heavily fortified Green Zone, also was the site of a bomb left in a bag on Feb. 20 that killed four workers and wounded 14.
