An appeals hearing was postponed Tuesday for four men convicted in the killing of Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl. The Sindh High Court adjourned the hearing until Aug. 8 after two recently appointed defense lawyers asked for more time to study the case, said Habib Ahmed, a government prosecutor. The lawyers for Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh — a British-born militant facing the death sentence for killing Pearl — will replace Abdul Waheed Katpar, who had been Sheikh’s defense counsel at trial.
