Nine people suspected of facilitating terrorism abroad have been arrested in pre-dawn raids in northern England in a major police operation involving some 500 officers throughout Britain, police said. The raids at 3:00 am (0200 GMT) on Wednesday were co-ordinated by Greater Manchester Police’s Anti-Terrorist Unit with assistance from their counterparts at London’s Metropolitan Police. Full Story
