At least 32 militiamen and five soldiers were killed at the weekend during an offensive by the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) army in the northeast of the country, the army said Monday. “We inflicted a heavy loss on the militiamen of the MRC (Congolese Revolutionary Movement) which lost 32 of their fighters in Tchei,” some 9km south-west of Bunia, the capital of Ituri Province, Captain Charles Boeka told AFP.
