Fresh insurgent attacks across Afghanistan claimed seven more lives, officials said, adding to the death toll of around 300 people from some of the heaviest fighting since the Taliban fell. Three health workers and their driver died in a roadside bombing near the capital Kabul, while three policemen were killed when a convoy carrying the police chief of restive Helmand province came under attack.
