Twelve wedding guests were killed and several others injured when a landmine believed triggered by Maoist rebels hit their bus in central India. The villagers from Chhattisgarh state were travelling home from a wedding in the neighbouring state of Maharashtra when the landmine was detonated, O.P Rathore, the Chhattisgarh police chief, told AFP on Tuesday. “As of now 12 people were reported to have died in the incident,” Rathore said, adding that four women were among the victims.
