Israeli unilateral moves will wreck two-state vision: Abbas
The Israeli government’s plan to unilaterally fix its borders will destroy prospects for a two-state solution to the Middle East conflict, Palestinian leader Mahmud Abbas said. Speaking on the 58th anniversary of the “catastrophe” of the Jewish state’s creation in 1948, Abbas accused new Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert of using the recent election of Hamas as an excuse not to reach a negotiated settlement.
