Ten Islamic militants were sentenced on Sunday to life in prison for their roles in a series of bombings across Bangladesh, and three men received 20-year sentences in the attacks. Fourteen defendants were acquitted at the court in Rajshahi district, 145 miles northwest of the capital, Dhaka, state prosecutor Ketab Uddin said. On Aug. 17, more than 430 small homemade explosives detonated across the country — primarily at courts and government offices.
