Prime Minister-designate Nouri al-Maliki urged a breakaway Shiite party Saturday to return to talks on forming a new national unity government. Al-Maliki made the appeal for the Fadhila party to return in a statement issued by the council of ministers. “He is keen on the participation of the Fadhila party in the formation of the government and is also keen for their participation in the United Iraqi Alliance,” the statement said, referring to the main Shiite coalition group in parliament.Full Story
