Canadian forces have arrested 10 suspected Taliban during a raid in southern Afghanistan and handed them over to Afghan authorities, the Canadian military said. The men were arrested in southern Kandahar province on May 8 in an area where four Canadian soldiers were killed in a bomb blast last month. They were rounded up in a village in a strike launched after tip-off and were suspected of being “Taliban or their sympathisers”, a Canadian military spokesman said Friday on condition of anonymity.
