The Indian navy, racing to acquire the latest military hardware, is seeking cabinet clearance to buy three Russian “stealth” frigates worth 665 million dollars, a spokesman said. “All issues such as price negotiations and evaluation have been cleared and spadework done and it just requires the cabinet’s clearance,” Commander Vinay Garg told AFP on Wednesday.
