Five wounded in West Bank Israeli incursion
Five Palestinian militants have been wounded in exchanges of fire with Israeli soldiers who moved into a West Bank refugee camp. About 50 jeeps and four army bulldozers piled into the Balata refugee camp in the northern West Bank city of Nablus, where soldiers conducted house to house searches, security sources and witnesses said Friday. At the beginning of the operation, a gunfight pitted soldiers against militants from the radical Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, an armed offshoot of Palestinian leader Mahmud Abbas’s Fatah party.
