The chief U.N. investigator in the assassination of a former Lebanese prime minister left for Damascus on Tuesday to interview President Bashar Assad, senior Lebanese security officials said. It will be the first time Assad answers questions about Rafik Hariri’s slaying from the U.N. commission appointed by the Security Council to investigate.
