Soldiers killed two suspected Islamic rebels in an area of revolt-hit Indian Kashmir where several state by-elections are due to take place next week, police said. The militants were shot dead late Wednesday during a gunbattle in northern Baramulla district where voting for three vacant assembly segments will take place, a police spokesman said on Thursday.
