Photographs of the wives of two Kenyan engineers kidnapped in Baghdad three months ago appeared on the front pages of several Iraqi newspapers on Tuesday in an appeal for the hostages’ release. One of the women is shown with a young boy; the other is holding a framed picture from her wedding day. A statement accompanying the pictures says the wives are praying “that peace in Iraq will prevail and the suffering of Iraqis will end.” Moses Munyao and George Noballa were abducted by gunmen on Jan. 18 in an attack on a convoy of the cell phone company Iraqna.
