Five people were killed and 15 wounded when Islamic militants staged a wave of grenade attacks in revolt-hit Indian Kashmir’s main city, police said. Four of the attacks took place within an hour in the busy commercial heart of the summer capital Srinagar where an Islamic separatist revolt has raged against New Delhi’s rule since 1989, police said on Friday. “Five people have died in these attacks,” a police spokesman said, adding that 15 others were wounded, several of them seriously.
