Taliban bomb kills three policemen in Afghanistan

A bomb planted by Taliban militants hit a government convoy in eastern Afghanistan, killing three policemen and injuring two others, a police commander said. A purported Taliban spokesman, Mohammad Hanif, said the attack near the eastern town of Khost was carried out by loyalists of the movement which has been waging an insurgency since being removed from government in 2001. The bomb was detonated remotely, Khost police chief Mohammad Ayoob told AFP on Friday. Full Story
