Police fired rubber bullets and tear gas on hundreds of lawyers protesting in Nepal’s capital Thursday, the eighth day of pro-democracy demonstrations that prompted the United States to cancel a congressional visit and allow some embassy workers to leave the Himalayan kingdom. Three lawyers were injured — two hit with rubber bullets and one with a tear gas canister — said Madhav Baskota, general secretary of the Nepal Bar Association.
