Maoist rebels shot dead two policemen and injured three other people in an attack at a busy market in southern Nepal, police say. The incident happened at the Gaur market in Rautahat, 170 kilometers (44 miles) south of Kathmandu, on Saturday afternoon. “A group of about 20 Maoists — some on motorcycles and others on foot — opened indiscriminate fire, targeting policemen on duty in Gaur,” said an officer at police headquarters in the capital, on condition of anonymity.
