Three Kurdish protesters have died and dozens have been injured in two days of rioting in south-eastern Turkey. About 200 protesters were arrested after thousands confronted riot police in Diyarbakir, throwing petrol bombs and stones, the city’s governor said. The violence erupted after the funerals of several members of the outlawed Kurdish militant organisation, the PKK who were killed by security forces.
