Prime Minister Tony Blair rejected any comparison between the situation in Iraq and the Vietnam War. “Vietnam was an occupation… there was a completely different set of circumstances,” Blair said in a radio interview during a short stop in New Zealand. “In Iraq we’re in there with the consent of a democratically-elected government and the UN.
