Indian Maoists apologize for civilian killings
Indian Maoists, waging a violent campaign against the state in large swathes of southern and eastern India, issued a rare apology on Monday for killing 13 civilians in a land mine blast last week. Rebels blew up a jeep full of tribespeople and traders on Friday as they were returning home from a local market in the Kanker district of the central state of Chhattisgarh. Full Story
