EU imposes sanctions on Belarus

The EU is to impose sanctions against Belarus over its “fundamentally flawed” elections that returned President Alexander Lukashenko to office. EU leaders, meeting in Brussels, also condemned an overnight crackdown against opposition protesters in Minsk, where about 150 people were arrested.
