Premier Silvio Berlusconi accused Italy’s left opposition Wednesday of staging protests to disrupt his election rallies. Berlusconi is campaigning before the April 9-10 election, and most opinion polls say his conservatives trail the center-left opposition led by Romano Prodi, a former premier and European Union chief. On Tuesday night, youths scuffled with police outside a theater in Genoa in northern Italy where Berlusconi was leading a rally of his Forza Italia party supporters. Full Story
