ASIA: Communist rebels attacked a security checkpoint in southwestern Nepal with bombs Thursday, killing at least three government security forces and wounding five, officials said. The attack took place at Ghorahi, a town about 250 miles southwest of the capital, Katmandu. All those killed were Royal Nepalese Army soldiers, while the injured included three soldiers and two policemen, the area’s chief government official Giridhar Dhakal said. Full Story
