Iraq’s Shiite vice president, who had balked at signing a presidential decree calling parliament into session, finally agreed Wednesday, a Shiite political leader told The Associated Press. Vice President Adil Abdul-Mahdi’s signature cleared the way for the much-delayed first session of the parliament — as early as Sunday.
