Lebanon has found the remains of Michel Seurat, a French history researcher whom Islamic militants kidnapped in 1985 during the civil war, a police official said Monday. Seurat’s bones were found during excavation at a rest stop on the road to Beirut airport in the capital’s southern suburbs. DNA tests have confirmed it was Seurat, the police officer said on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak to the press. Full Story
