A large group of insurgents attacked a factory and a power plant south of Baghdad late Thursday, killing at least 25 workers, as a blanket ban on vehicle traffic was drawn over the capital hours later to guard against attacks on Friday prayer-goers. Police said the Thursday attack was launched at about sundown against a power plant near the town of Nahrawan, just east of Baghdad. Most of the victims were Shiite Muslims, officials said.
