Political leaders in Lebanon have begun talks aimed at resolving their deep divisions and discussing the country’s relationship with Syria. The week-long National Dialogue has brought together pro- and anti-Syrian groups from the Christian and Muslim communities, to try to foster unity. During the talks, the parties agreed to set up an international tribunal to try the killers of former PM Rafik Hariri. Syria withdrew from Lebanon last year amid massive protests after his murder.
