Guantanamo Hearing Thrown Into Disarray

The hearing for a Guantanamo detainee charged with conspiring to commit murder was thrown into disarray Thursday after he boycotted the session and the U.S. military judge criticized the defense attorney. The stalemated proceedings exposed problems in the U.S. military tribunals — the first since the aftermath of World War II — that were set up for prisoners captured by U.S. forces and their allies.
