Authorities investigating the leak of secret military documents, including details on coalition troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, have arrested a Romanian journalist, his newspaper said Friday. Prosecutors detained Marian Garleanu, Romania Libera’s correspondent in the eastern city of Focsani, late Thursday for allegedly possessing the leaked material. A court later said Garleanu faced charges of possession and transmission of secret documents, state news agency Rompres reported. Garleanu has denied any wrongdoing and said he was targeted because he has repeatedly exposed corruption in the Ministry of Defense.
