Thirteen people were injured Friday afternoon in Thailand’s Narathiwat province, one of the three southernmost provinces haunted by unabated violence over the past two years. At about two O’clock in the afternoon, a villager aged 46 was ambushed by two motorcyclists in Narathiwat’ Ra-ngne district. He was injured with gunshots. An explosion occurred shortly after a convey of 11 policemen arrived at the site to conduct investigation. All of the policeman and two villagers were wounded in the powerful blast.
