More U.S. Navy support personnel will be deployed in Iraq as medical corpsmen and in special operations roles to ease the burden on Army troops. Adm. Michael Mullen, the chief of Naval Operations, said the Navy will add to the 4,000 sailors already operating in the country, and would only say it would be less than 12,000 sailors.
