A row has blown up over the revelation that condemned ETA terrorist Henri Parot may walk out of prison in 2009 after serving only about 20 years of his 4,799-year sentence. Parot, who is held responsible for killing 82 people, could benefit from the possibility – contained in the Criminal Indictment Law – that the total years of his various sentences could be combined into just one prison term of 30 years maximum, as established by the Spanish penal code.
